My hp pavilion with ryzen 5 4600 H and 1650Ti GPU is overheating and while gaming the cpu package temperature is at 90-95 degrees on average and sometimes it hits 103-104 degrees. I monitored this using HWiNFO64 I don't know whats the matter. Please help me solve the issue.

Hi@Akshay310,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing heating issues with the HP Pavilion Gaming PC.

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.

If issue still persist then run the test using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI to rule out other hardware issues

  1. Start or restart the computer.
  2. Press F2 repeatedly during start up to enter the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI utility.
  3. Select System Test
  4. Click Run Once.

Once the test completes, results are displayed on the screen.

If the drive passes all tests, continue to restore a computer back to the factory default using Reset PC Keep my files from windows, which will isolate whether it’s a software or hardware issue.

The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.

Click here for the HP Cloud Recovery Tool (Windows 10) link.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
