hello, I need help knowing what the maximum storage capacity the internal SSD my laptop can use/support

 

my laptop has Ryzen 7 4800H

 

and if possible I would like to know where I can get the answer myself for future references

Hi:

 

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

 

Chapter 1 has the supported drive configurations HP offered in the model series.

 

In the models that came with 2 NVMe SSD's, it appears that HP offered 2 x 256 GB drives.

 

I would open up the notebook and confirm that there are two SSD slots because I only see one shown in chapters 5  & 6 of the manual.

 

Normally the drive capacities offered in the model series are just what HP offered, not the maximum capacity supported.

 

Since your notebook came with a 1 TB NVMe SSD, I don't see any reason why the empty M.2 slot wouldn't also support a 1 TB NVMe SSD, but I can't write that with 100% certainty.

 

The PCIe generation of both slots is 3.0.
