I had one question in the characteristics of the laptop indicated that the DDR4 RAM is 2400 MHz. When used the program CPU-z showed that there is a DDR4 2666 MHz. If I want to upgrade RAM I need buy 2400 MHz or better 2666 MHz? HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec0019UR notebook

Hi:

 

If HP installed a DDR4-2666 MHz memory chip in your notebook, I recommend you install the same speed.

 

It shouldn't cost any more than a DDR4-2400 memory chip.

 

I recommend you get a compatible Crucial memory chip.

Do not get the gaming memory. 

 

Get the standard memory with the green colored circuit board, because you can't change any of the memory XMP profiles in the BIOS.
