I recently updating my bios and after I updated the bios my laptop gave off a indicator on caplocks that Ithe memory module is having issues . So I replaced the ram thinking it would help but the capalock blinking light still showed the issue. So I thought maybe it's a bio corruption. So I created a emergency boot bios recovery to roll back a stable version. None of the three windows 10 bios option versions were allowing my PC to fix my bios. When I press the windows plus v key the power button goes on for a second then turns off then goes back on and still the capalock shows the issue. I would like to know if their is any fix to this.

Hi @Max377,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you’re facing a challenging situation with your laptop after the BIOS update. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
1. Reset BIOS/UEFI Settings
- Clear CMOS: Power off your laptop and remove the battery (if possible). Locate the CMOS battery on the motherboard, remove it for a few minutes, and then reinsert it. This can reset the BIOS settings to factory defaults.
- BIOS Reset Option: If you have access to the BIOS menu, look for an option to load default settings or reset the BIOS.
2. Check RAM Compatibility
- Ensure the new RAM is compatible with your laptop. Refer to the manufacturer’s documentation for supported RAM specifications.
3. Reseat RAM Modules
- Reseat the RAM modules. Remove them and reinstall them, ensuring they are securely seated in their slots. Sometimes, a poor connection can cause issues.
4. BIOS Recovery Options
- Use the Emergency BIOS Recovery: Ensure you are following the correct procedure for the BIOS recovery. Make sure the USB drive is properly formatted (FAT32) and the BIOS file is correctly named as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Different USB Ports: If you're using a USB drive for BIOS recovery, try different USB ports (USB 2.0 ports are often more reliable for this purpose).
5. Try Different Power States
- Disconnect the laptop from power and remove the battery (if removable). Press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds to discharge residual power. Then reconnect everything and try powering it on again.
6. Check for Beep Codes or Blink Codes
- If your laptop has a speaker or indicator lights, listen for beep codes or note the blinking pattern. Refer to the manufacturer’s documentation for the meaning of these codes.
7. External Display Test
- If you suspect a display issue, connect your laptop to an external monitor to see if you can get any output.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Thank you for fixing reply but this issue has still not been fixed . Plus after I did a clean wipe of the entire system. Thinking it might be the battery. When I turned on the system it fails to turn on but the AC power indicator has white light on . So I know now it must be a battery issue or really the system just stopped working.
