Product: PC-17-w005na (energy star)

As per several post on this issue the Right hinge on my HP OMEN PC-17-w005na (energy star) is so stiff it is causing the laptop to break open  when moving the screen.  I can now no longer close the laptop !!
This issue  did occur during the first 12 months i had it and HP repaired it under warranty but its failed again.   
Given the No of similar post this does appear to be a common fault with these otherwise Excellent Laptops !!
How do i get it repaired and does anyone know if HP have improved the Hinge based on the No of fault request they must have received from users,  as i would prefer to get it repaired with some confidence.
