Hi @The-Bau,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Accessing the advanced settings in the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) of an HP laptop can vary slightly depending on the model and BIOS version. Here's a general guide that should help you find advanced settings in the BIOS.

Access the BIOS/UEFI:

  • Start or restart your HP laptop.
  • As soon as the laptop begins to boot, repeatedly press the BIOS access key. The key varies by manufacturer and model, but for HP laptops, it is commonly one of the following: Esc, F1, F2, F10, F12, or Del. Refer to your laptop's user manual or check the screen during startup to find the correct key.

Navigate to Advanced Settings:

  • Once you're in the BIOS/UEFI, use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate through the menu.
  • Look for a tab or section labeled "Advanced," "Advanced Settings," or something similar. The wording may vary depending on the BIOS version.

Explore Sub-Menus:

  • Inside the "Advanced" section, there may be sub-menus related to various aspects of your laptop's hardware and configuration.
  • Common sub-menus include "Advanced Chipset Features," "Advanced CPU Configuration," or similar.

Adjust Settings:

  • Within the advanced settings, you may find options to configure specific features related to the CPU, memory, storage, and other hardware components.
  • Use the instructions provided on the screen (usually at the bottom) to navigate, select, and modify settings.

Save Changes:

  • After making changes, be sure to save your settings before exiting the BIOS. Look for an option such as "Save and Exit," "Save Changes and Restart," or something similar.
  • Confirm that you want to save the changes.

Exit BIOS:

  • Exit the BIOS and allow your laptop to restart with the new settings.

Please note that accessing and modifying advanced settings in the BIOS can affect the stability and performance of your laptop.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you. I can now access the bios on my hp laptop using  F10. However I wonder if my laptop can have that advanced option because I can't  access it. If I power it on and press F10 repeatedly, it's when I access the bios, but without that advanced option.
