Your laptop can fit up to 2 x 32GB DDR4 PC4-25600 3200MHz SODIMM NON-ECC Unbuffered 260-pin 1.2V CL15 RAM sticks.
The specs for your laptop (HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop - 16-a0032dx Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support) says it came with a single 8 GB RAM stick. You should consider buying a matching 8 GB RAM stick -same make and product number, or if you prefer, say 2 x 16 GB RAM sticks, to buy matching RAM sticks not to exceed 3200 MHz RAM speed, such as this example: Samsung 16GB DDR4 3200MHz SODIMM PC4-25600 CL22 2Rx8 1.2V 260-Pin SO-DIMM Laptop Notebook RAM Memory... -this is a single 16 GB RAM stick, you need two, or: Crucial RAM 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL22 (or 2933MHz or 2666MHz) Laptop Memory CT2K16G4SFRA32....
Hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
