Hi @Coclos, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your HP Victus 15 while gaming. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Update Drivers: Ensure all your drivers, especially the graphics and chipset drivers, are up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the HP Support website

Adjust Power Settings: Set your laptop to "High Performance" mode:

  • Go to Settings > System > Power & sleep > Additional power settings.
  • Select High Performance.

Optimize Game Settings: Lower the in-game graphics settings to reduce CPU load. Disable features like V-Sync and lower the resolution if necessary.

Close Background Applications: Ensure no unnecessary applications are running in the background. You can check this via the Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc).

Check for Thermal Throttling: Overheating can cause the CPU to throttle. Ensure your laptop is well-ventilated and consider using a cooling pad.

Update BIOS: Sometimes, updating the BIOS can resolve performance issues. You can find BIOS updates on the HP Support website

HP OMEN Gaming Hub: Use the HP OMEN Gaming Hub to optimize performance settings. Ensure it's set to "Performance Mode".

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
