Hello there I'm wondering what common shortcuts HP pavillion gaming laptops use to force display to external during boot, if it weren't for the site not allowing me to specify os/model I would have added it (when I try to click the drop downs it just doesn't work) anyways so my laptops screen is massively damaged leaving about a third usable. I'm trying to force it to display to external during boot so that I can hopefully try and fix it (OS broke during update)

Hi:

Unfortunately, that is not possible.

In order for an external display to work, the Windows graphics drivers have to load first, and since you don't have a working OS installed, no external display will work.

I do have a os, it's windows 10 or 11, forgot to mention that. I just can't boot into it due to stop code 0xC000021A which yeah.

Yes, but if Windows won't fully load to the logon screen, the graphics drivers didn't install.

If you don't have an image on the external display, the graphics drivers have not loaded.
