Hey guys,
I've created this post to help future users with the problem of the Omen Gaming Hub button. As you know, it replaces the Home button, and this is a big problem for many of us.
.
I agree with all of you that HP made an idiotic decision to replace the Home button with a pointless Omen Gaming Hub that no one needs.
.
But I've found a solution to how to return the Home button.
.
1. Download a program Microsoft PowerToys from Microsoft Store. It's free.
2. Go to "Keyboard Manager" -> "Remap a key"
3. Choose a button next to Omen Gaming Pub, replace it with Home.
4. (optional) Choose a button next after that button, replace it with End.
(see screenshot)
.
In my case, these buttons are "Calculator" (who the heck needs a calculator so often?!) (new Home) and "Insert" (new End).
.
Omen Gaming Hub button is, unfortunately, hardwired and cannot be replaced at all.
.
Hope it will help. Cheers and good luck! Thank you for this forum!
.
Val
