Hi @THEGUNMAN,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your keyboard settings!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Here's what you can try:

Most models come with shortcut keys to control the backlight. Try pressing F5, F4, or Fn + F5 to see if you can cycle through different brightness levels. Some laptops also use Fn + Spacebar to toggle the backlight, so that's worth trying as well.

If that doesn’t work, open the HP Command Center by searching for it in the Windows Start menu. Once there, look under the Thermal or Lighting sections for Keyboard Backlight Settings. If your model supports it, you may find an option to disable the backlight timeout or set it to “Always On.”

Let me know how that goes or if you need more assistance!

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?"—your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

Best regards,
