Hp omen 16
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, I'm currently using HP omen 16 but after I turned it off yesterday, it did not turn on again. Charging light on, no indicators turned on. I tried to disconnect all of the usb connections and ac battery plug but nothing happened. Anyone know what wrong with it?

Hi @Mioux,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing a power issue with your HP Omen 16 laptop. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

  • Hard Reset: Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if it's removable). Then, press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds. After that, reconnect the battery and power adapter and try turning on the laptop again.
  • Check Power Adapter and Battery: Ensure that the power adapter is properly connected to both the laptop and a functioning power outlet. If possible, try using a different power adapter to see if the issue persists. Also, if your laptop has a removable battery, check if it's securely attached and not damaged. If the battery is removable, try turning on the laptop with just the power adapter connected (without the battery).
  • Inspect for Physical Damage: Check the power cable, power adapter, and laptop for any signs of physical damage such as frayed wires, bent connectors, or liquid spills. If you find any damage, it might be causing the issue.
  • BIOS Reset: Some users have reported success by resetting the BIOS settings. To do this, you usually need to access the BIOS setup utility by pressing a specific key (often Del, F2, or Esc) during startup. Once in the BIOS, look for an option to reset to default settings or clear the CMOS memory. Follow the on-screen instructions to perform the reset, then restart the laptop and see if it powers on.
  • Hardware Issue: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there's a hardware problem with your laptop, such as a faulty power button, motherboard issue, or other internal component failure.

I hope this helps.
