Hi @Vedang08

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

It sounds frustrating to have your laptop shut down unexpectedly while gaming. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check Power Settings: Ensure your power settings are configured for maximum performance while plugged in. Go to Settings > System > Power & battery, and adjust the settings accordingly.

Update Drivers: Make sure your graphics drivers and other critical drivers (like chipset and BIOS) are up to date. You can usually find the latest drivers on the HP support website. Click HERE to update bios and drivers.

Inspect the Charger: Sometimes, an insufficient or faulty charger can cause shutdowns. Ensure you're using the original charger that came with the laptop and that it’s functioning properly.

Battery Health: If the battery is failing, it might cause shutdowns even when plugged in. You can check battery health using Windows’ built-in battery report or third-party software.

Overheating Issues: Even if it doesn't feel hot, check the internal temperatures using software like HWMonitor or MSI Afterburner. Dust buildup can also affect cooling; consider cleaning the fans and vents.

Event Viewer Logs: Check the Event Viewer for any critical errors that occur around the time of shutdown. This can give clues about what's causing the issue.

Game Settings: Sometimes, running games at very high settings can cause instability. Try lowering the graphics settings to see if that helps.

Perform a Clean Boot: This will help identify if background applications are causing issues. You can find instructions on how to do this on the Microsoft support website.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
