You're very welcome.

This is the link to the product specs for your notebook:

OMEN Laptop - 15-en0023dx Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

That is the processor it has and the PCI express revision is generation 3.

Even the next generation Ryzen 5xxx still have PCIe Gen 3 connectivity.

If you want to save money, buy a PCIe Gen 3 SSD such as the Samsung 980.

Samsung 980 NVMe M.2 SSD | Samsung Semiconductor Global

If you want a PCie Gen 4 SSD that will not run to its maximum specifications and costs more, buy the Samsung 980 Pro.

Samsung 980 PRO NVMe M.2 SSD | Samsung Semiconductor Global

You can transfer the 980 Pro to a newer PC that supports PCIe Gen 4 SSD's one day.

Hi:

Your notebook's M.2 slot is PCIe Gen 3.

A Gen 4 SSD would work but only at a max speed of 3,500 MBPS.

Look under the connectivity section for your processors specs.

Sorry to bother you. But another question

What is the maximum (read and write for PCle 3

No bother at all.

The fastest speed you will get out of your notebook's M.2 slot is 3,500 MBPS read/write.
