Hp omen 17 performance control in command center

I have just placed an order for the HP omen 17 and wanted to know if the model has performance control in the hp omen command center 

the model i ordered is the 2018 omen 17t (https://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/omen-by-hp-17t-laptop-best-value-4fj26av-1)

it has a 1070, 8750h and 16gb ram along with a 144hz gsync panel 

from some reviews i've seen the 1070 does not perform as well as other 1070 laptops 

is there any way to change this ? 

maybe in the omen command center ?

Hello again @Vink221 

That particular series  Omen 17-anxxx does not have Performance Control unfortunately.

That is a feature of the Omen 15-dcxxxx series only.

Im not sure what you mean by the 1070 having less performance than other 1070 machines.

IF you are talking about cooling, some Omen models have issues with CPU cooling, over others. But I have not heard of any problems with the graphics cards.

Form reviews online ive seen that the omen 17t with the 1070 performs below the average 1070 laptop 

Even with the cooling is adequate 

I just wanted to know how I could boost it's performance to get it working at that level 

I feel it might be a power limit issue ? 

Maybe I'm wrong since all the benchmarks for this laptop are kinda old and hp could have fixed these issues with a BIOS update

I'm refering to this review 

And a friend of mine knows someone who Owens one with the same specs 

And he reports a 5-15% decrease in performance as compared to the Asus strict scar II with the same specs
