Okay so its recovered the system and the laptop is working all fine again but i seem to be missing the hp omen control for my additional keys, lights and fan activation etc and ive tried downloading the hp system event utility but once installed there is still no omen control? could you help me thanks

Hi @Elmaitland,
I have looked into your issue about your HP Stream Notebook and it having startup issues. Try performing a hard reset.
When performing a hard reset please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices.
Here is a link to computer won't start for Windows.
Plug the power adapter directly into a different wall outlet. Do not plug it into a power strip, surge protector, or secondary power source as this could cause and issue.
You can do a system restore. System restore will help if something automatically updated and did not go well on the Notebook.

Hey @Elmaitland,
No, it is not a key combo on this Notebook. You can try to plug the power adapter directly into a different wall outlet. Do not plug it into a power strip, surge protector, or secondary power source as this could cause and issue.

Hey @Elmaitland,
Here is the up to date download. Have you tried using the HP Support Assistant to install software that is missing.
In HP Support Assistant, select Storage Backup and Recovery

Hi @Elmaitland,
Here is a link from ISunshare that will help you manage to get to the Desktop quicker. It worked for me.
