Hi @Elmaitland,

I have looked into your issue about your HP Stream Notebook and it having startup issues.  Try performing a hard reset.

When performing a hard reset please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices.

Here is a link to computer won't start for Windows.

Plug the power adapter directly into a different wall outlet. Do not plug it into a power strip, surge protector, or secondary power source as this could cause and issue.

You can do a system restore. System restore will help if something automatically updated and did not go well on the Notebook.

Please let me know how this goes.

Hi thanks for the reply when I try the hard restart by pressing the power button for 8-10 seconds but it turns on for about 4 and then turns off again and there is no combination listed for my notebook do you know if there is one? Cheers

Hey @Elmaitland

No, it is not a key combo on this Notebook. You can try to plug the power adapter directly into a different wall outlet. Do not plug it into a power strip, surge protector, or secondary power source as this could cause and issue.

If this does not help please call us. They will be happy to assist you immediately.

Hey @Elmaitland,

Here is the up to date download. Have you tried using the HP Support Assistant to install software that is missing.

In HP Support Assistant, select Storage Backup and Recovery

On the next screen, select Recovery and then select HP Recovery. On the Recovery Manager screen,  select reinstall drivers or applications Check  the HP Omen Control and click on the install button. Make sure you restart when you do this.

Please let me know.

Thanks.

Yes that is fixed now thankyou but when I turn on the laptop it goes onto the startup menu screen, instead of the logo screen straight away which I have to then press enter to continue startup is there anyway I can get rid of this so it starts up onto the logo screen like it used to?
