Sadly that wasnt the solution, when i power the laptop on it goes straight to the boot menu. where as you would normally have to press esc to reach this. How can i change it back so it goes straight to startup instead of this menu page?

Hi @Emaitland,

 

Try F9 to change the boot options.

 

You could restore the BIOS to factory defaults help with this.
