Hi @Art13boywest,

Welcome to HP Support Community!

We noticed that this thread hasn't had any updates in a while since your original post; while this is rare, we didn't want this post to remain unanswered, so, here's the solution to your query. We hope it helps you and everyone viewing this post 😊

  1. Check Boot Order and Settings: Access the BIOS/UEFI settings to ensure the boot order is correct and set to boot from the internal storage device. You can typically enter the BIOS by pressing a specific key (such as F2, F10, Esc, or Delete) when starting the laptop.

  2. Repair Windows Installation: Use a Windows installation media (USB drive or DVD) to boot the laptop and select "Repair your computer". This option provides various tools to fix startup problems.

  3. Perform System Recovery: If you have a recovery partition or media, use it to restore the system to its factory settings or previous state.

  4. Check for Hardware Issues: In some cases, a failing hard drive could be causing boot issues. Run diagnostics to check the health of the internal storage.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved, and if you feel this reply was helpful, click “Yes”.
