Laptop: HP Victus 15-fa2082wm

CPU: Intel Core i5-13420H

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4050 Laptop GPU

RAM: 16 GB DDR4 (1×16, single channel)

Adapter: 120W

BIOS: Updated

I was experiencing very low and unstable FPS in PUBG. On Ultra settings, my FPS was dropping to around 38 FPS, which seemed extremely low for an RTX 4050 laptop.

After testing many things (drivers, BIOS settings, Windows power plan), I discovered that the issue was related to OMEN Gaming Hub.

When OMEN Gaming Hub was controlling the performance profile, the game performance was very poor and unstable. However, when I switched the system to Eco Mode, the performance improved significantly.

Now in PUBG Ultra settings I get around 70–90 FPS, and the GPU runs at around 50W.

So it seems that OMEN Gaming Hub power management was causing the performance issue. Once I changed the mode, the FPS became stable and much higher.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with HP Victus + OMEN Gaming Hub affecting gaming performance?

Real reason can be heat in performance mode as well or bottleneck due to single channel ram. First ensure temos are below 90°C of both GPU/CPU while in performance mode. And I don't think you should play it on ultra especially esport title, most people use low-medium because it looks same good and better optimize. You can check optimized settings in YouTube about this game. Also, you have budget 1080p GPU, it can run ultra but it won't will great fps.

Also, first step for your should be ensuring temps are stable and upgrade to dual channel by adding same specs 16GB ram in second slot for 32GB dual channel. I can help you in that case as well if needed
