Subject: HP Victus 16-s0032nt – Not Powering On
Hi HP Support,
I’ve been using my HP Victus 16-s0032nt laptop for about a year, and recently it stopped working completely. When I press the power button, nothing happens — no fan, no screen, no startup sound. The only thing I see is the orange charging light, so it looks like it’s getting power, but not turning on.
Before this, the screen was randomly flickering on and off a few times. I’m not sure what fixed it back then, but now it won’t turn on at all.
I tried holding the power button, Windows+V reset, and using an external monitor — nothing helped
Thanks in advance for your

Hi @Ramazan3444
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Thanks for laying out the details so clearly — that helps a lot. Since your HP Victus 16-s0032nt shows the orange charging light but won’t power on, here’s a structured approach to troubleshoot it:
What the Orange Light Means
- The solid orange light typically indicates the battery is charging.
- If the laptop doesn’t respond at all, it could point to a battery fault, motherboard issue, or power delivery problem.
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting
1. Try a Hard Reset
- Disconnect the charger.
- Hold the power button for 30 seconds.
- Reconnect the charger and try powering on again.
2. Check Battery Health
- If possible, remove the battery and try powering on with just the charger.
- If it turns on, the battery may be faulty.
3. Inspect RAM Modules
- Loose or faulty RAM can prevent booting.
- If you're comfortable opening the back panel, reseat the RAM sticks (remove and reinsert them).
4. BIOS Recovery Attempt
- Hold Windows + B or Windows + V, then press and hold the power button for 2–3 seconds.
- Release all keys and wait for BIOS recovery to start. If nothing happens, move to the next step.
5. External Display Test
- You’ve already tried this — good call. Since it didn’t help, the issue is likely deeper than just the screen.
Let me know how it goes.
