Hello,
i have HP Victus 15-fa0032dx. Last night, it restarted to finish an update. It also showed that the BIOS is updating. But when i started it again, it stuck on the start screen with victus logo shown and loading screen, i waited many hours for it, but it never moves on.
i tried making another bootable usb with windows 11 and tried booting from there by keeping it on first on boot order from bios setup, but it again showing the victus logo and keep loading.
i tried downloading the bios in another USB, and changed the boot order on bios setup to make the USB on 1st. And tried booting, but again the hp logo coming and it keeps loading.
I tried win+B and power button to start, it does shows that the bios is updating, but after that it restarts and again getting stuck on the hp logo.
can anyone please give me solution for this?

Hi @Yaqoob677, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Sounds like your Victus is caught in an endless loop—kind of like a DJ who won’t stop replaying the same track. 🎵😵💫 No worries, we’ll troubleshoot and get it back on track.
Let’s try a few steps to break the cycle and get you past that stuck HP logo.
Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the laptop completely by holding the power button for 10 seconds.
- Unplug the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
- Hold the power button down for 15 seconds to discharge any residual power.
- Plug the power adapter back in (no need for the battery if it’s removable).
- Try to power on the laptop again and see if it passes the HP logo.
Attempt BIOS Recovery via Win + B (Again)
It seems like you’ve already tried this, but let’s go over the procedure one more time to make sure it’s done correctly.
- Power off the laptop completely.
- Insert the bootable USB with the correct BIOS version (you can download the latest BIOS from the official HP Support Website) onto it.
- Press and hold the Win + B keys on your keyboard.
- While holding down Win + B, press and hold the power button for 5-10 seconds, and then release both the power button and the keys.
- The BIOS recovery process should initiate after a few moments (look for a screen with BIOS recovery messages).
- Follow any on-screen instructions to complete the BIOS recovery process.
Perform System Recovery (Recovery Drive or Windows 11 Installation Media)
Since you've already tried using a bootable USB, ensure that it's correctly set up for system recovery. Here's how:
- Create a Bootable Windows 11 USB (if you haven’t done this already):
- Go to the Microsoft website and download the Windows 11 installation tool to create a bootable USB drive.
- Insert the Bootable USB into the laptop.
- Power on the laptop and press the ESC key repeatedly to bring up the Startup Menu.
- Select Boot Device Options and choose the USB drive.
- The laptop should boot from the USB drive.
- Once in the Windows Setup screen, select Repair your computer at the bottom left.
- Select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Repair.
- Let Windows attempt to repair any boot-related issues.
Perform a BIOS Reset Using a USB Flash Drive (Manual Recovery)
If the system still doesn’t boot, we can manually reset or update the BIOS using another method.
- Download the Latest BIOS File from the HP Support Website (you will need to search for your specific model: HP Victus 15-fa0032dx).
- Extract the BIOS file and place it on a USB drive.
- Power off the laptop, then plug in the USB drive.
- Power on the laptop and immediately press ESC repeatedly until you see the HP Startup Menu.
- Press F2 to go into the Diagnostics menu, and then select System Diagnostics.
- Choose the option for BIOS Update and follow the on-screen instructions to update or recover the BIOS from the USB drive.
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the BIOS update issue. If the issue persists, just let me know, I’ve got more tricks up my sleeve! 😊
Hope I was able to make things easier for you! 😊

Thank You Kuroi for the reply.
I have tried removing the battery and restarting by following all what you said. After the first boot without battery, it showed that the checksum failed.
Then, i tried the win+B again as you said, it did recover hut again it stuck in the Hp logo after restarting.
The windows Bootable i tried booting with UsB but it is stucking on the victus logo and not moving forward, so igs not going on boot with usb.
The last method you told about diagnostics, it does has the system diagnostics option when i press F2. It has list of tests which it passed all, but it has no option of system diagnostics, i attached pic for you.
Thank you for looking into it, I am really stuck as i am working on a project for that i need asap. I will be very thankful if you can guide me further.
Thank You

Hi @Johndelaney, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Since your HP Victus is stuck on the startup screen with the Victus logo and loading animation, try these troubleshooting steps:
Basic Steps
- Force Restart: Hold the power button for 10-15 seconds until the laptop shuts down, then turn it back on.
- Disconnect External Devices: Remove USB drives, external hard drives, and peripherals that may interfere with booting.
- Try Booting into Safe Mode:
- Turn off the laptop and then turn it on. As soon as it starts, repeatedly press the F8 or Shift + F8 key until you see advanced startup options.
- If Safe Mode loads, uninstall recent updates or drivers that might be causing the issue.
Advanced Steps
If the laptop still won’t boot past the logo, try these:
Access Windows Recovery Mode:
- Turn on the laptop and force shut it down 3 times in a row (by holding the power button when the logo appears). On the third boot, it should enter the Windows Recovery Environment.
- Select Advanced options > Startup Repair and follow the on-screen instructions.
Run System File Check (SFC) and Disk Check:
- If you can access Command Prompt from recovery mode:
- Type: sfc /scannow and press Enter.
- Then type: chkdsk /f /r C: and press Enter (replace C: with the correct drive letter if needed).
Check for Corrupt Windows Updates or Drivers:
- If you recently installed a Windows update or driver update, try System Restore from Recovery Mode.
Perform a BIOS Reset:
- Restart the laptop and press F10 repeatedly to enter BIOS.
- Look for an option to Reset to Default Settings, then save and exit.
Reinstall Windows (If Nothing Works):
- If all else fails, you might need to reset your PC or reinstall Windows using a bootable USB.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
