Hi @Utkarsh8871,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for sharing your experience with your new OMEN 16-ap0000 Gaming Laptop. I can imagine how disappointing it must feel to face frame skips in Valorant, especially after investing in a high-performance machine and trying all the right steps like driver updates and reinstalling Windows. You're doing everything right, and I’m here to help you dig deeper.

You mentioned that switching off 2.4GHz helped reduce restarts. That’s a strong clue pointing to Wi-Fi interference or instability, possibly due to:

  • Driver conflicts
  • Faulty Wi-Fi card firmware
  • Power-saving settings affecting the card

Try these steps:

1. Disable Power Saving for Wi-Fi Adapter

  • Go to Device Manager → Network Adapters → Right-click your Wi-Fi card → Properties → Power Management tab.
  • Uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.”

2. Update Wi-Fi Drivers Manually

Use HP Support Assistant or download directly from HP’s site for your model:

3. Run HP Network Diagnostics

Use HP Support Assistant → “Network Check” to run a full diagnostic.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
