Hello! This is my problem. Currently, I have the OMEN by HP Laptop 15-ax001la V7R98LA#ABM
And right now, I've been spending days looking for a battery replacement for my laptop, and I searched here in the HP Parts Store, using my product number to search as instructed, and the results only redirect me to search in the authorized HP Part Resellers, but I am not sure if they are selling it. I am very confused, I can't seem to find it! Please, could someone help me find the replacement for it from a trusted website???
The only apparent battery for my laptop I found is this one https://www.itpas.com/hp-battery-4c-58whr-382ah-li-oem.html
But it says that they are for HP OMEN 15-5XXXX which is not exactly mine. Im really desperate please help me. Thank you!

HP does not supply this part as a retail purchase - you need to obtain the part elsewhere.
Part Surfer provides the necessary part number: 849910-850
849910-850 | Battery (Primary) - 3-cell lithium-ion (Li-Ion), 5.37Ah, 61Wh (TE03XL) |
and
Service and Maintenance Manual
Battery
YOUR BATTERY is this one based on the results in Part Surfer for your product number:
- 3 cell prismatic battery - 61.5 Whr (5360 mAh), for use with products with Intel 6th generation processors or Intel 7th generation processors with AMD Radeon hybrid graphics
Part Number: 849910-850
OR for those reading, this battery is for a different model in this series:
- 4 cell polymer battery - 63.3 Whr (4175 mAh), for use with products with Intel 7th generation processors, not supported with AMD Radeon hybrid graphics
Part Number: 905277-855

Hey! Thank you SO much for your quick response! Ok got things questions I hope you can help me out
1. Where to buy Battery: (Spare Part Number: 849910-850) I went here to this link you provided, and in fact there is my battery! thank you so much. This battery is way less expensive that I thought. I was expecting 100$ at least. Is it HP?? Are they trusted sellers? I apologize I just want to make sure I'm doing the right purchase.
2. Im not very good with computers. I saw this link as well http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05357609
And just as you said
Battery
- 3 cell prismatic battery - 61.5 Whr (5360 mAh), for use with products with Intel 6th generation processors or Intel 7th generation processors with AMD Radeon hybrid graphics
Part Number: 849910-850
OR
- 4 cell polymer battery - 63.3 Whr (4175 mAh), for use with products with Inel 7th generation processors, not supported with AMD Radeon hybrid graphics
Part Number: 905277-855
but, both types of batteries can work for the same computer? Doesn't each laptop have a certain unique battery? Or how does it work? How am I sure that is in fact the correct battery? Sorry I just want to learn more about it and I would really appreciate your knowdelge.
If In fact both work for the same computer, I can buy this one?
Thanks again for your help!

You are welcome.
I corrected my post to better indicate that your battery is the part found for you in Part Surfer using your Product Number for your computer.
If you read the Service Guide, it explains which battery is used with which exact product type.
For those reading:
In many cases (depending on your location (region), computer age and type, and available documentation for your computer), Part Surfer can help you find parts - at least the part numbers - specified for your product. For the most accurate search, use your product's Serial Number when searching with Part Surfer.
Open PartSurfer
- Select your Country
- Need Help? Tab Self help > find and open the User Guide and FAQ
Use Part Surfer:
- Enter your device Product Number , Serial Number, or Part Number in the Quick Search box
- HINT: To see a system-specific list, replace the Product Number with your device Serial Number
- Items accompanied by a tiny box in the Add-to-Cart column are available for purchase
- N/A means the part is not carried / offered for purchase by HP.
Parts marked as available for purchase might be available from: HP Parts Store
OR
Use your search engine to find the part number at your favorite online store.
Answer to "Can I buy?" and link:
That is the "other battery - not your part number.
Best stick with the parts designated for your computer.
Now, having said that, I use documentation and references to determine this type of information. My personal skill level in battery technology does not extend to knowing (without researching the subject) the exact nature or requirements for a particular battery.

We do try. Smiling.
"My Opinion" and is not be be construed as "HP policy, HP facts, or HP documentation":
In general, for any part that HP does not provide as a direct purchase from their Parts Store, parts shown at an authorized retailer (Amazon, for example,) can be trusted to be as advertised. That just means (to me) that as far as the seller is concerned, the parts are as described and not being sold from "the back of a truck on a shady side street".
There is something to be said for checking around, of course. At Amazon, for example, checking the part number (849910-850) provides a variety of options (same part number from different sellers). Before purchase: You should always read the details, if available, check any reviews, check out the actual merchant (who / what), and decide whether you want to trust the information and the purchase.
For example, on the provided link to Amazon, read the Product description section.
Found: HP OMEN 15-AX000 Series
Another possible "trusted" merchant (in the USA) that advertises this part number (849910-850): Newegg.com
Finally:
Check the merchant's return policy: what is included, how the policy works, and how to contact the merchant's customer service if necessary.
