@Fordkage, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP OMEN Laptop!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP OMEN laptop won't power on, performing a hard reset could help resolve the issue. Follow these steps:

Disconnect all external devices:

  • Unplug the charger.
  • Remove any connected peripherals (USB devices, external hard drives, etc.).

Remove the battery:

  • For removable battery models:
    • Turn off the laptop.
    • Flip the laptop over and remove the battery.
    • If your model has a non-removable battery, skip this step.

Disconnect from power:

  • Unplug the power cord from both the laptop and the power source.

Drain residual power:

  • Press and hold the power button for approximately 15 seconds. This helps discharge any remaining power in the laptop components.

Reinstall the battery:

  • For removable battery models:
    • Reinsert the battery.
    • For non-removable battery models, proceed to the next step.

Reconnect the charger:

  • Plug the charger back into the laptop and the power source.

Power on the laptop:

  • Press the power button to turn on the laptop.
