Hi. This is my first time on here. But I need to get a shipping label for my Victus Gaming Laptop as it has completely stopped working. When I try to boot it up, I get a black screen that says hard drive failure imminent. I have included photos of the messages. If I need to send in my laptop to HP to get a new hard drive installed, then I need a shipping label. But I'm getting a runaround while trying to obtain one. Can someone please give a label to print out so I can get my laptop fixed ASAP? And hopefully the data from my old HD can be saved as well. Thanks in advance.

HP will not salvage data for you and will not return the old HDD or SSD whatever. Its unfortunately up to you to do that. Whether it can be done depends on just how badly corrupt the hard drive may be. There are several ways to try to do it, some without opening the laptop but all require some pretty sophisticated tech skills. Keeping a backup is a good idea for future reference. I do not work for HP; just a long-time Forum participant. Good luck.

Hey. I got a box coming to send to HP. But, I still don't know how to extract the data from the dead hard drive. Truthfully, it might not happen. But if they're replacing it with a new one, then can I request they send the old one back as well? I don't know how they do that. Can someone give me some info? I'd appreciate it.
