Hi Almeer,
For your HP Pavilion Gaming 15-dk1xxx, not all USB-C ports support DisplayPort Alt Mode — it depends on the exact configuration. The easiest ways to check:
Check the specs sheet for your exact model on HP’s website — look for “USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode” or “Thunderbolt support.”
Look for a DP or Thunderbolt icon near the USB-C port on your laptop.
Try connecting a USB-C to DisplayPort cable to an external monitor — if the monitor gets a signal, your port supports DP Alt Mode.
