Hi @BrEnDaNrOYcE,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Experiencing a blue screen error (BSOD) on your HP Omen laptop can be frustrating, but there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you.

Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your operating system is up to date. Windows updates often include bug fixes and improvements that can address system stability issues.

  • Open Settings.
  • Go to "Update & Security."
  • Click on "Windows Update."
  • Check for updates and install any available updates.

Update Graphics Drivers: Outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can lead to blue screen errors, especially during gaming.

  • Visit the official HP support website or the website of your graphics card manufacturer.
  • Download and install the latest graphics drivers for your system.

Check for Driver Updates: Ensure that all your drivers, including chipset, audio, and network drivers, are up to date.

  • Go to the Device Manager (you can search for it in the Start menu).
  • Check each category for any devices with a yellow triangle, indicating a problem.
  • Right-click on them and choose "Update driver."

Run Windows Memory Diagnostic: Memory issues can also cause blue screen errors. Run the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool to check for problems.

  • Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
  • Type mdsched.exe and press Enter.
  • Choose to restart your computer and check for memory problems.

Check for Overheating: Overheating can lead to system instability, especially during resource-intensive tasks like gaming.

  • Ensure that your laptop is placed on a flat surface with good ventilation.
  • Consider using a cooling pad to help dissipate heat.

Scan for Malware: Malware can cause system instability. Run a full system scan using a reliable antivirus program.

Restore System to a Previous State: If the issue started recently, you can use System Restore to revert your system to a previous state.

  • Type "Create a restore point" in the Windows search bar and select the corresponding result.
  • In the System Properties window, click on the "System Restore" button and follow the prompts.

Check Event Viewer: The Event Viewer can provide more details about the error. Look for critical errors around the time of the blue screen.

  • Press Win + X and select "Event Viewer."
  • Navigate to "Windows Logs" > "System" and look for events with "Error" level.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
