Pavilion 15-cx0350ng
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello all,

I want to buy a Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-cx0350ng. It has officially 512GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD and 8GB RAM installed. My question is, could I supplement it by installing 2 x 8gb RAM and another 2.5" SSD ( 1T ) / HDD ( 2T )? Unfortunately I can not find relative informations or spec about that on the internet.  I read lots of threads in this community. They said the series "cx0000" should support that. Maybe some one here could make a confirmation for me.

Any help is sinerely appreciated!

Best regards,

kevinprotoss

Hello @kevinprotoss

"could I supplement it by installing 2 x 8gb RAM and another 2.5" SSD ( 1T ) / HDD ( 2T )?"

Yes to both questions.

You can add up to 16GB total, according to HPs manual. But the chipset can handle up to 32GB.

But if adding to the existing ram, the timings and voltage need to match exactly or you might have some possible issues.

Otherwise you can also purchase all new ram that is already matched. Its up to you.

I recommend Crucial because of their excellent warranty.  Here is what they recommend and maybe you could use it as a guide when searching for ram in Germany... https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/pavilion-gaming-15-%28models-15-cx00...

If you need further help understanding that, let me know how I can help.

You can also add a 2.5 inch HDD or SSD.

But you need to note that if the PC did not come with the 2.5 inch drive already installed, there's a chance the brackets and cable might be missing. You have to open the case and look.

Your manual... http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05985643

If they are missing, the part numbers are...

Hard drive bracket  L20325-001

Hard drive cable     L20324-001

They can be ordered from the HP Parts Surfer website... HP PartSurfer

But I do not know if the HP Store will have those parts available in your specific country. You would have to search the web in such case.
