I have an HP Omen laptop with an Intel Core i7-7700HQ QC 7th gen processor. If this processor cannot be overclocked, is there anything I can do with it to make it better for gaming? I’m pretty sure it has turbo boost that is automatic. How come I do not see anything with my turboboost in my bios? Because I was wondering if I can make the turboboost constant and not automatic for when I am gaming so it is better?

HP won't allow overclock on nearly all machines. I believe the very simple reason: HP does not want to see thousands and thousands of machines break during warranty period and also during machine lives.

For Intel Turbo boost, please read

Intel Turbo Boost Technology is enabled by default on supported processors. You can disable or enable the technology with a switch in the BIOS. No other user-controllable settings to change Intel Turbo Boost Technology operation are available. Once enabled, Intel Turbo Boost Technology works automatically under operating system control.

In short, you can only enable or disable, no control in between. More reading:

The only thing is why don’t I see a switch in my bios for my intel turbo boost and why don’t I see anything else in general for intel turbo boost in my bios?
