I am experiencing a persistent Intel UHD Graphics failure (Code 43) on my HP Victus 15-fa1093dx after updating to Windows 11 Version 25H2 (OS Build 26200.7462).

Before the update, the laptop worked normally with hybrid graphics (Intel UHD + NVIDIA RTX). After the Windows 11 25H2 update, the Intel iGPU is detected in Device Manager but is immediately disabled with the error:

“Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)”

What I have already tried:
- Installing HP OEM Intel Graphics drivers
- Installing multiple Intel driver versions (old and new)
- Using “Let me pick from a list of available drivers”
- Firmware/BIOS updates via Windows Update
- SFC /scannow and DISM RestoreHealth
- Removing Intel generic drivers installed via Intel Driver & Support Assistant

Result:
- All Intel UHD driver versions fail with Code 43
- Intel Graphics Software reports “Unsupported system configuration”
- NVIDIA GPU still works, but hybrid graphics is broken
- Rolling back drivers does not resolve the issue
- The “Go back to previous version of Windows” option is no longer available

System information:
- Model: HP Victus 15-fa1093dx
- OS: Windows 11 Version 25H2 (Build 26200.7462)
- Graphics: Intel UHD Graphics + NVIDIA RTX (hybrid)

Based on testing and community reports, this appears to be a compatibility issue between Windows 11 25H2 and HP OEM Intel graphics drivers for this model. The same drivers reportedly work correctly on Windows 11 24H2.

I am looking for:
- Confirmation if this is a known compatibility issue
- Guidance on supported Windows versions for this model
- Whether HP plans to release updated Intel graphics drivers compatible with Windows 11 25H2

Hi @CurtoSys

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand how discouraging it must feel to see the Intel UHD Graphics disabled after you’ve already tried so many thorough steps. You’ve clearly put in a lot of effort with driver installs, firmware updates, and system scans, and I appreciate the persistence you’ve shown. Let’s focus on what can help bring the hybrid graphics back to life on your Victus.

Here are the steps you can try:

Clean Removal of Intel Graphics Driver

  • Open Device Manager.
  • Right‑click Intel UHD Graphics > Uninstall device.
  • Check “Delete the driver software for this device” and confirm.
  • Restart the laptop.

Install the Latest HP Drivers

  • Visit the HP Drivers and Software page:
    https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers
  • Enter your model: Victus 15-fa1093dx.
  • Select Windows 11 (64‑bit).
  • Download and install the latest Intel Graphics driver listed under “Driver-Graphics.”
  • Restart after installation.

Update Chipset and BIOS

  • On the same HP support page, also install the latest Intel Chipset driver and BIOS update available for your model.
  • Restart after each update to ensure the changes take effect.

Windows Update Check

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
  • Install any optional updates, especially those under “Driver updates.”

Hybrid Graphics Verification

  • After restart, open Device Manager again.
  • Confirm Intel UHD Graphics is enabled without Code 43.
  • Launch NVIDIA Control Panel and check if “Manage Display Mode” shows both GPUs.

HP Support Assistant

You’ve already shown great patience and technical skill. Once the correct driver and chipset updates are in place, the system should feel balanced again, with both Intel and NVIDIA graphics working together.
