i dont know if thats the cable or not because the cable i know its different weird but put cable back and close laptop i have last solution for you !

i have another solution for you but you need to be blind a bit hahaha 😃 use keyboard to turn on the volume up

open laptop and be sure its in windows .

hit ctrl+ windows key + ENTER  

you will get narrator 

then try to put mouse a bit far to the right of screen (use your imagination) and hit right click you will hear the narrator saying what you are doing just now scroll down to display settings with keyboard keys and press enter to get into settings display now you need to use hearing and keyboard.

 

just hit tab to move from buttons in display menu  till you get into detect button and press enter then your monitor will be detected.
