"Is this a good choice for gaming"?

It all depends on what games you play, the settings, etc.

I would need more details on what you specifically plan to do with it.

 

In general terms, its more of an entry level gaming laptop. Its not going to do well with high hardware demanding AAA games. It will play the more simplistic esports games pretty well.
