Hey after my previous post someone convinced me to buy 2 new rams. I got one of the crucial 3200mhz 16GB and discarded my previous ram ( Samsung 3200mhz 8gb). Now the trouble is my laptop is only running on 1600mhz and I have noticed a major drawback for gaming. I'm not sure, how can I enter bios and change my settings to 3200mhz. Currently, it's running on half. Please help!

Hi:

Your notebook will only report the memory running at 1600 MHz.

You need to multiply that number by 2.

No notebook would show the memory running at 3200 MHz.

Put the Samsung memory back in and it will also report 1600 MHz.

Here is a screenshot of my desktop PC that has DDR3-1600 memory running in dual channel mode and the report only shows 798.3 (800) MHz.

Totally normal.
