I’m having some OS issues and I decided to reinstall windows 11 from a USB media. However, when I went to wipe the drive for a clean install, I realised there is no secure erase function in the OMEN bios that I can see. I am being blind or is there simply no erase function. If there is no erase function, how do I erase the drive?

Hi:
Usually, only HP business class PC's have a secure erase option in the BIOS.
What I do when I want to clean install Windows, is when I get to the screen that asks, 'Where do you want to install Windows,' I delete every partition on the hard drive, leaving just one partition of unallocated space. Click Next, and let Windows automatically partition and format the drive as it installs.
It is not a 'secure erase' per se, but you start out with a blank hard drive for all intents and purposes.
