OMEN 16
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello, I recently bought a new gaming laptop for myself just yesterday and I realised every time I would plug in my charger whilst playing my games it would keep lagging and make multiple buzzing noises. It’s quite difficult to play games when you can’t enjoy and charge/play at the same time, if there’s any fix to this please help, thank you.

Hi @Jess050,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing a performance issue with your HP Omen 16 Notebook PC. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To assist better:

  • Is the Notebook placed on a flat surface?
  • Was there any Windows Update installed recently?
  • Have you updated all the drivers on your PC?
  • Is it a AAA rating gaming?

While you respond to that, Let's perform a power drain:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle

Update the BIOS on your PC.

Please download and install HP Support Assistant and make sure you update all the pending updates.

If the issue persists please follow the steps mentioned on this Link
