You have to ask Crucial. Crucial and HP are not a same company.
Hope this makes sense.

Will surely do that. Now coming to the main query why is the Windows 11 that came along with this hp laptop showing either 8gb or 16gb ram and not 24gb? Other softwares like cpuz and hwinfo are showing the total ram as 24gb only.

Normally to get full benefit of dual channels architecture BOTH RAM are the same on both slot. You can use odd numbers such as 16GB+8GB = 24GB , 8GB + 4GB = 12GB .... but as mentioned above, you won't get full benefit of dual channels.

I totally get your point about the dual channel. But the issue here is that the device manager, task manager and system information show the ram that is only in slot 2 and not the ram which is in slot 1. Whereas apps like cpuz and hwinfo are counting them both. Leave the dual channel benefit aside for a second, why is the system taking into consideration the ram which is in slot 2 only? Keep in mind the samsung ram which came with this laptop, was in slot 2 only by default. Please check all the screenshots which are shared above once

Wrong place again. Windows is a product from Microsoft, HP does not own Windows (all).

With all due respect I am posting here after clarifying from MS and Micron. Both these companies have confirmed that this issue is probably with the bios or with something else about which only hp can confirm. I tested both these rams in a lenovo laptop and they worked fine. Hence asking here is the only option that I have.
