OMEN by HP Laptop 15-ce0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have had the laptop since my 2017 birthday on december 20th and it had been running great up to about a month ago. I game on the laptop regularly and have had minimal issues but ever since last month it keeps on crashing and everything shuts off instantly while usually playing games but starts back up like nothing happened, this happens once every day and if im lucky it will skip a day. After doing a bit of research about the laptop model I learned that it might be due to "static discharge" but im unsure as to how to proceed with this as i believe that the 1 year warrenty had just ended right around the same time that the shut downs started. Is there anything that i can do to hopfully get this issue fixed?

Edit: ok, today it has done this twice and I am more convinced that it is static discharge as i only touched the laptop this time and it shut off.

Hello @Joseph_W

There were a few models of the ce0XX in early production that had a factory flaw that the grounding wire was not attatched and caused this type of phenomenom. A recall was made and owners could send them in to HP for repairs, but you should have experienced it way before a month ago.

Ill ask a Moderator if a Representative can contact you.
