Hi @Kelvs,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your laptop is powering on but there's no display and the keyboard is unresponsive, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

**1. Check Power and Battery

  • Power Supply: Ensure the laptop is properly plugged in and the power supply is working. If the laptop runs on battery, try connecting it to the power adapter.
  • Battery Reset: If your laptop has a removable battery, remove it and hold the power button for 15-30 seconds. Reinsert the battery and try powering on again.

**2. Inspect the Display

  • External Monitor: Connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV to check if the display is the issue. If the external display works, the problem might be with your laptop's screen or its connection.
  • Brightness: Ensure the screen brightness is not set too low.

**3. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Hard Reset:
    1. Power off the laptop completely.
    2. Disconnect all external devices (USB drives, external keyboards, etc.).
    3. Press and hold the power button for about 15-30 seconds.
    4. Release the button and try turning on the laptop.

**4. Check for Indicator Lights

  • LED Indicators: Look for any LED indicators on the laptop that might show power, battery status, or hard drive activity.

**5. Listen for Beeps

  • Beep Codes: If your laptop emits beep codes when powering on, these can indicate specific hardware issues. Refer to your laptop's manual or manufacturer's website for the meaning of these codes.

**6. Reseat Internal Components

  • RAM and Storage: If you're comfortable opening the laptop, reseat the RAM and storage components to ensure they are properly connected.

**7. Check Keyboard Connection

  • Keyboard Issues: If the keyboard is not responsive, try connecting an external USB keyboard to see if it works.

**8. Inspect for Physical Damage

  • Physical Damage: Check for any visible signs of physical damage to the laptop, such as cracks, loose parts, or damaged connectors.

**9. Boot into Safe Mode

  • Safe Mode: If you can get any display, try booting into Safe Mode to troubleshoot software or driver issues.

**10. BIOS/UEFI Reset

  • BIOS/UEFI: If you suspect BIOS/UEFI issues, try resetting it. This typically involves pressing a specific key (like F2, F10, or DEL) during startup to access the BIOS/UEFI settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
