Microsoft Windows 11

Hello! I've just received my brand new Omen 16 laptop, and the left half of my trackpad stops working randomly, but the right side works perfectly. In order to fix this i have to press fn+F11 in order to disable then reenable it. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Hello @Icelino

The touchpad has a technical defect.

HP warranty valid -> Contact HP Support for service repair

HP warranty expired:

If you can't do that, you should have it serviced by a professional notebook (chip level) repair store.

Alternative:

Use external mouse

Good luck

Icelino - Have you sent the laptop back for repair, as I've had the same issue with the trackpad on two brand new Omen 16s?

I was thinking of logging a support call, but these laptops are coming straight from the factory with this fault, and no amount of unistalling and reinstalling drivers sorts it out, which is the usual advice given on how to resolve it.
