Low FPS and Fps Spike

Hi to everyone

• So I’ve been running into this problem lately, I have this Gaming Victus laptop for 5 days now and I think something is wrong, I have a 4050 Laptop GPU and a Core i5 13420H 16GB RAM My temps are normal
• it seems that I don’t get much fps out of these, I get like 107-140 FPS in Rainbow Six Siege while everything is set to low, I have went to YouTube and searched for it, Nothing, Updated my GPU driver, Nothing, By the way my cpu always goes to 70% or higher and sometimes lower I dont Know if it’s normal, I updated my cpu things I updated everything, I thought im gonna get higher FPS with these specs, Otherwise I’m wrong or I’m just using the wrong settings, My game uses my CPU alot, I don’t really know what to do and I’m definitely not satisfied with the product I bought, Maybe I’m using the wrong settings and stuff or I expected getting more FPS with my specifications

Some gaming model have default mode as a max available which is sufficient as per their specs. For your issue do you have single channel ram or dual channel? Single channel ram can causes such issues. And how much ram you have? If you don't know, then download and run CPU-Z software then post memory tab screenshot and SPD tab screenshot.

I have 1 single of stick 16 gb ram in my laptop, if you think that’s the problem do I have to get another laptop ram?

Yes, dual channel ram is much for gaming or else you get limited performance, not what laptop is capable of. If you want to upgrade now or in future is your choice. I you want to it now then provide CPU-Z info that I asked in previous comment so I can tell which ram to buy, as installing wrong ram make things worst

You're welcome. When buying RAM, make sure the specs of your existing 16 GB HP module and the new module you plan to buy match, CL (CAS latency), profile (JEDEC), size, frequency, and voltage.
