Hi
I bought a hp omen ax006nf in 2017. I worked perfectly until september (not critical). My brother bought an omen too (dont remember the model but it's similar to mine).
When he started his laptop, we noticed that the light on his keyboard was so brighter than mine. I guess I lost brightness until 2017..
I searched for several days on forums but didnt find why I have this issue on my laptop.. I reinstalled it, changed pilote etc, no change.
Do you have an idea please ?
Thank you

Hello @Sapinscuit
I have noticed the newer laptops have brighter keyboard lighting now than the old models did. I have had the 17 inch model from 2017 and its keys were not as bright either.
Its a physical limitation and not correctable via software. Unless you have some LED's that are not actually working now, there would not be anything else I could offer. The lighting is built-in to the keyboard panel and you would have to replace the whole top to fix that. Not worth the cost, if that is whats actually wrong.
Hope that helps.
