Hello HP community, i wanna know if my laptop HP pavilion 15 bc401ns serie is compatible with the M.2 NVMe PCIE gen4 ssd?
i am currently running on an SKHynix SC401 256GB SATA ssd and i want to upgrade it to a faster option.

Hi:
The PC's NVMe slot is only PCIe Gen 3.
Also, I am not 100% sure a NVMe SSD will work at all.
According to chapter 1, page 4, it indicates that only SATA M.2 SSD's are supported.

I find that odd, since on the next page, it indicates Intel Optane memory is supported and that is NVMe.
This discussion shows where a forum member installed a NVMe SSD in his 15-bc404ur notebook and it didn't work.
