Hello all.
I bought SSD m.2 NVME "PLEXTOR M8SeGN PX-128M8SeGN" for my notebook "HP Pavilion - 15-bc404ur" and after plugged it for my notebook i get black screen and message «press esc key for startup menu». Is this incompatibility of a specific SSD and notebook or notebook, supporting only m.2 sata?

Hi:
According to the crucial memory report for your notebook, it supports both SATA and NVME SSD's.
https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/pavilion-15-bc404ur
The service manual (chapter 3, page 26) seems to indicate only SATA 3 M.2 SSD's are supported in the bc400 model series, yet Optane memory is supported, which is NVMe.

So I am at a loss to explain why the NVMe M.2 SSD doesn't work, unless only SATA M.2 SSD's work as shown in the manual for the bc400 model series.
