HP Omen 17-an107na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I'm going to buy this laptop (HP 17-an107na GTX 1070 120Hzand was wondering if it's display realy support g-sync function or this feature works only with external display?

There is a lot of disputes about it in the internet and no answer, so I was afraid to buy the wrong one.

Because in describtion it says : 120hz G-SYNC 43.9 cm (17.3") diagonal Full-HD IPS anti-glare (1920 x 1080) display for smoother gameplay.

But in Technical details - Display Specifications only this information mentioned: 43.9 cm (17.3") diagonal FHD 120 Hz IPS anti-glare WLED-backlit (1920 x 1080).

So I was wondering which is correct description?

@PrayForMe, welcome to the forum.

I have reviewed all of the information provided by HP and can't see G-Sync mentioned in any of it.  If you look at the add that you provided, the G-Sync is shown under "Storage Specifications".  This is incorrect.  I suggest that you contact the seller to double check that their add is correct.

Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide for the laptop.

there are different ones out there. some of the laptops got the g sync display the others got the fhd. some people did not get the 120hz either. make sure you can trust the seller. if you check hp spare parts there are 3 or 4 different panels for that laptop.

i have the an012dx which has the rx580 with 60hz freesync. some people only got fhd 60hz withouyt freesync instead. I am getting a 144 hz external freesync monitor for christmas. We were told in these fourms it was the only way to go over 60 hz on the rx580 version. got my fingers crossed. i hope it works and allows over 60hz. Merry Christmas! I hope you get what you are looking for! Happy new year! May God bless you!
