I am having the Problem with my display freezes in middle of usage while casual using my laptop. I started observing this problem after I got my motherboard replaced for another problem. The problem is like when I switch from tab/site/application to another tab/site/application. Or between minimizing and maximize any application in my laptop, the part of screen just freeze itself permanently this occurs frequently. The Service Center (laptop is under warranty) had replaced my display for this problem. after complaining about 2 months. After replacing display this problem still persisted. So thinking this might be the problem with Display drivers I headed to HP site for Updating drivers. with the help of their videos for updating drivers I did update required drivers according to my laptop. I also reinstalled OS. withing few days of updates I faced same problem. I again contacted HP support and showed them the problem with On Call Video Support. They Agreed to help me out and assured to assign technician however the technician did not really visited home and asked me to visit service center which had to do (because they would have closed my case if I wouldn't visit them). when I visited service center. The guy at service center refused to take laptop. I had heated discussion with him. after which I contacted HP Call Support and they asked me couple of Question and started blaming me for updating windows. And suggested me to re-install windows again. but I had to pay them 650 INR + 350 INR (for 32Gb Pen drive). Because If I would re-install it myself they will get excuse to run. I don't regret paying 1000 rupees for thing but my issue still persists. so I again contacted HP Call Support (this the case was created right before one day of warranty expiry technically it is locked case). I was again told to visit service center even though the warranty and case was onsite support, (cross checked this from HP call center). The guy at service center is of another breed he started teaching me about pirated games and software, by referencing my problem. I also showed him all the applications which I used none them were pirated in-fact Visual Studio Code is owned by Microsoft Itself. And Google Chrome. they kept my laptop for 1 week (they did nothing just kept entertaining) meanwhile I had to call HP Call Support in-order to connect with Service Center. After one week I got my laptop back still no signs from HP to show any support. I request HP to send a technician who has knowledge of these things well. Also don't send anyone from that particular Service Center. I am so pissed that I would not hesitate to put this on social media because I have been just walking back and forth from home to service center. this problem would have easily fixed if HP would have just checked the motherboard thoroughly. before replacing. I don't know if the issue lies with motherboard but I know that after replacing motherboard I started facing the issue. The service center literally advised me not do my job as web developer just because  the display freezes. meanwhile native OS applications like file explorer and Microsoft Edge or any other application would produce the issue but HP and HP Service centers just need one excuse to run so that I would close my case and get their paid support. I will also not hesitate to contact consumer court if this problem is not resolved thank you.

Hi @Hardik26,

I’m really sorry for the frustrating experience you’ve had with your HP laptop and the repeated back-and-forth with service centers. I completely understand how upsetting this situation must be, especially with your work being affected.

To help you as quickly and efficiently as possible, could you please send me your case ID via private message? Once I have that, I can escalate your issue to the right team and ensure a qualified technician with the proper knowledge is assigned to resolve the display freezing problem.
