So my computer has been having trouble running games the way it should be and it's been very annoying as you might imagine, paying good money for a laptop like this but it still overheats like nothing else. Either way, when it's idle the temperature is on average: CPU: 73 celsius GPU: 68 celsius. And this is on the ''default'' setting.
When I play a game, any game no matter how much power it needs the temperatures will always go up to about 95-97 degrees celsius no matter the game. And the games have had terrible performances. I have all the latest updates, all the latest drivers for everything, I even have a laptop cooler and it doesn't help at all. I still have a 6 month warranty, can I do anything with my warranty to get someone to fix this because this has been going on for months now and it's been making me quite frustrated recently, considering the money I spent on this computer.
Photo is what my computer looks like, it is the HP Omen 15.

First, how are you getting the temperature of the CPU. If you have an intel chip then install the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. That should tell you the correct CPU temperature. Don't trust anything you get from OCC.
Second, if your temperature is really shooting up that much, then you may have to re-bond the heatsink to the CPU and it has been poorly assembled by HP. Their quality is simply not what it used to be.
Good luck.

Also i've installed the tuning program and it won't launch because it says some file is missing.
I think HP has given me a faulty product since when I wanted to restart my windows I couldn't, I had to do it with a USB, so I think I could call them on monday and ask them what I can do because I am not having it this way.
