Dear community - I purchased the Omen 15 last year as a desktop replacement system and it has been great until it started overheating and shutting down. The problem started a few months ago and I did the normal dust clearance and bought a laptop cradle so more air gets to circulate around the machine and fans. This seemed to fix the problem until last night when it died on me mid-game (I dont play particularly demanding games - ie Warcraft 3, Age of Mythology etc). Since then it crashes after about 2-5 mins of being turned on - even if I am doing nothing more strenuous then searching the internet for ideas. Using a heat fan app it shows the only bit that is overheating is the 3D element of the Nvidia GEFORE GPU - 95-100%.
Is there something I can do to ensure the fans are working or why that particular part of the system is running so hot?
Thanks in advance
J
