This darn laptop is so buggy everyone seems to have this stupid black screen problem

Serious problem...in this month fortunately it dosen't happen, but it's a random fail, and for this is more problematic for me. Not to mention the high temperature that can be solved only reducing CPU power to 90/95%, that disable the turbo boost clock 4Ghz.  94° in every serious graphic game. Absurd

well at least your laptop didn't turn black and become useless every time I open photoshop
which render the laptop entirely useless

the Pavilion 15-Cx00xxwm serries is freaking trash I tell you

I too had this problem before.

I did these things:

  • Update to latest bios (to version F.20)
  • Undervolt my laptop to -1.25 -125 mV using throttlestop
  • Power reset the laptop using this instruction

I don't know which thing fixed it but it fixed.

Here is a tutorial but I didn't really understand to what voltage he undervolted his pc.

I undervolted both CPU core and CPU cache to -125 mV (sorry for previous typo). I did it like diegoalejandro's tutorial.

My bios is F.20 for reference.

I've been having the same issue for 6+ months now.  Only happens when playing online games: Overwatch, Destiny 2.  Undervolted, updated BIOS, adjusted power and it still does it.  At this point I think it's just a terrible laptop that I am stuck with.

at this point, I just give up

this laptop line is broken

Yeah for me is the same, I tried everything here but I'm still having the same problem.

Definitely I'll never buy an HP laptop ever again.
