Serious problem...in this month fortunately it dosen't happen, but it's a random fail, and for this is more problematic for me. Not to mention the high temperature that can be solved only reducing CPU power to 90/95%, that disable the turbo boost clock 4Ghz. 94° in every serious graphic game. Absurd

well at least your laptop didn't turn black and become useless every time I open photoshop
which render the laptop entirely useless
the Pavilion 15-Cx00xxwm serries is freaking trash I tell you

I too had this problem before.
I did these things:
- Update to latest bios (to version F.20)
- Undervolt my laptop to
-1.25-125 mV using throttlestop - Power reset the laptop using this instruction
I don't know which thing fixed it but it fixed.

Here is a tutorial but I didn't really understand to what voltage he undervolted his pc.

I've been having the same issue for 6+ months now. Only happens when playing online games: Overwatch, Destiny 2. Undervolted, updated BIOS, adjusted power and it still does it. At this point I think it's just a terrible laptop that I am stuck with.
