Hi @Jatin0711

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this. If your NVIDIA graphics card is not being detected in your HP Victus laptop, there are several possible reasons — ranging from driver issues and BIOS settings to hardware or Windows power profile conflicts.

Let’s go through the steps to help you fix it.

Step-by-Step: NVIDIA GPU Not Detected on HP Victus

Step 1: Check Device Manager

Right-click the Start button and choose Device Manager.

Expand Display adapters.

Do you see NVIDIA listed, or just Intel UHD/Arc graphics?

If NVIDIA is missing, continue with the next steps.

Step 2: Show Hidden Devices

In Device Manager:

Click View > Show hidden devices.

Check again under Display adapters.

If NVIDIA still doesn’t show, proceed below.

Step 3: Install or Reinstall NVIDIA Drivers

Go to HP’s official driver page for your model:
HP Victus Drivers & Software

Download and install the latest NVIDIA graphics driver listed for your laptop.

Alternatively, go to the NVIDIA website and:

Choose your GPU (e.g., RTX 3050/3060/4050 etc.).

Download and run GeForce Game Ready Driver.

Use Clean Installation when prompted during NVIDIA setup to fully reset driver state.

Step 4: Enable GPU in BIOS (If Applicable)

Some Victus models allow toggling between Hybrid (NVIDIA Optimus) and Discrete GPU modes.

Reboot your laptop and immediately press Esc, then F10 to enter BIOS.

Look for a Graphics or Advanced tab.

If available:

Set to Dynamic Switchable Graphics or Hybrid Mode.

Save changes and exit.

Step 5: Check NVIDIA Control Panel

After installing drivers:

Right-click on your desktop.

Select NVIDIA Control Panel.

If it's missing or says no display is connected to NVIDIA GPU, the system may still be using integrated graphics only.

Step 6: Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

Shut down the laptop completely.

Turn it back on and press Esc repeatedly, then F2 to enter diagnostics.

Run the "Component Test > Graphics" to verify the hardware is detected.

You can also download HP’s diagnostics tool here:
HP PC Hardware Diagnostics for Windows

Step 7: Check for Windows Power Profile Conflicts

Go to Settings > System > Power & Battery > Additional Power Settings.

Make sure you’re on High Performance or HP Optimized.

Avoid Power Saver, which can disable discrete GPU usage.

If your GPU still isn’t detected after all these steps, there may be a deeper issue with the motherboard or GPU hardware.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
