I bought this like a month ago. From the day i bought the battery lifespan is less than i expected. At first few days i used almost 2 and half hours on battery power. under normal laod like browser and vscode running.
But now i cant even use 1 and half hour under very low load. I was only browsing internet, then after an hour battery was 30 %
It is advertised that lifespan is 6 hours and 30 min. How could this happen to my laptop.
Wanna know whats worst, I have enabled energy saver even battery is over 90%. Very little brightness Ilevel. To fix the issue i made only wifi is connected all other other unneccessary services are disabled. Even created a power mangement profile to reduce battery usage to minimum as could. Even display refresh rate is 60hz. Is there warrenty to this fault

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
That’s frustrating, especially since you’ve already optimized your settings to extend battery life.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot and check warranty options:
Troubleshooting Battery Drain
Run HP Battery Diagnostics
- Open HP Support Assistant and go to Battery Check.
- If you don’t have HP Support Assistant, download it from HP’s website.
- If the battery health report shows significant degradation, it may indicate a faulty battery.
Check Background Processes
- Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and check Power Usage under the Processes tab.
- Disable any unnecessary apps running in the background.
Calibrate the Battery
- Charge the laptop to 100%, then let it drain completely until it shuts down.
- Recharge to 100% without interruption.
- This can help recalibrate battery readings.
Update BIOS & Drivers
- Go to HP’s support page for your model and check for BIOS or power management updates.
- Install any available updates that might improve battery efficiency.
Let me know if you need help running diagnostics or checking warranty details!
